What solutions could be adopted to redesign branch interiors, counters, reception and queuing areas?
What new areas can be created to make time spent in a bank more comfortable, relaxing, creating the feeling of 'doing something' for oneself?
The international contest "SHARE A NEW VISION: redesign the bank branch of the future"
has been organised to give young designers and architects a chance to use their creativity and skills to respond to these needs.
The challenge is to design a space in which customers can obtain information while reducing the sensation of time passing and leaving them completely in control of transactions performed, thanks to visual itineraries, interactive zones, self-service technologies and entertainment areas.
Innovation, interaction, multichanelling and relationship: these are the watchwords contestants should bear in mind when competing for this award.
Combining ideas and advanced solutions to design a bank, focusing entirely on the interior environment, to create the real branch of the future. An environment combining operational requirements with moments of involvement and interactive zones in which customers and their needs are the real protagonists.
Complete freedom to design every conceivable type of innovative solution and associated spaces, indicating places for customer-related activities and ways to use the entire branch environment.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
- 2 A2 format (59.4 x 42 cm) illustrations showing:
a)a plan and rendering of the branch
b)a detailed view of the branch
- Descriptive report in A4 format (1 page of maximum 4,500 characters, including spaces, single-spaced, 12 point Arial Narrow font, black print; also containing the contest motto and identification number
- 1 CD-rom containing the above mentioned materials in high resolution (300 dpi) .jpg or .pdf format, in a sleeve indicating the motto and identification number.
DUE DATES
Initial registration: from January 15, 2008 to February 15, 2008
Submission of projects: no later than May 5, 2008
